Knuutila Manor House

The Knuutila Manor House (Knuutilan kartano), located by the Kulovesi Lake and the Nokianvirta Stream in the village of Siuro, west of Nokia town, is a versatile lodging and festivity location. The area around the Manor House has the longest history of human habitation in the Pirkanmaa Province, its history dating back to the 14th century.

The Manor House is owned by the City of Nokia and run by the Siuro-Seura, the local heritage association. Since 1977, Siuro-Seura has been renovating the buildings of the Manor House, which now offer various possibilities for festivities and meetings as well as for accommodation.

A place for festivities and meetings

The main building (päärakennus), built in 1865 and fully renovated, has room for 110 guests. The second biggest building (väentupa) has room for 80 guests. Väentupa, built in 1910 and made out of logs, has a unique atmosphere with its long tables and benches – and a wooden floor suitable even for dancing!

Another 100 years old building (Aittahotelli) has a meeting room for 20 people. Aittahotelli also has a modern kitchen, audiovisual equipment and wireless internet connection. There are also two large bed rooms (kamari) and six small bed rooms (aittahuone) for accommodation.The 2-4-person rooms in Aittahotelli are equipped with all modern conveniences. With the help of extra beds, a total of 35 people can be lodged. All rooms have wireless internet connection. There is also a small sauna that can be booked separately.

The old garden of the Manor House has a little medieval cellar, perfect for e.g. a unique cocktail reception.

Surrounded by the garden, the fields and the lake view, the grass area between the buildings is a perfect location for outdoor festivities. There is also an outdoor dance floor and a stage, surrounded by cherry and lilactrees, as well as a gazebo (sireenimaja) for e.g. a romantic cup of coffee.
